Quick Towel Decoration

I was inspired by an Omnistitch Group member to do some toweling embellishments. I have some starting work to share. This is just a plain old (for testing)hand towel. I used ribbon yarn and my Omnistitch machine to ruche it to the towel with.

Cording made using veggie mesh

I used the poly mesh from Veggie and meat bags to make this cording. I am very excited about using items that we normally throw out to make beautiful things.

New form of recycling...

Today I found a piece of plastic strapping used to hold boxes together. I decided to bring it home and use it for a base for my new love machine wrapped cording.

New Practice....

I am really enjoying using my machine wrapped cording with my Omnistitch machine..I will post a video soon about couching my cording with it.
I am really having fun.

Use for twine

I was going to throw away the stitching twine from a big bag of feed and decided to machine wrap it instead...wow it is so nice to make something from basically nothing.

Don't Forget my first love.....

Omnistitching...I wish that these machines were available today. I know that you can do many of the features on newer machines but these are really heavy work horses. They don't care how heavy the fabric or if I want to sew backwards..
